About Final Matters
Making end‑of‑life planning more compassionate and less overwhelming.
When loved ones are grieving, the practical tasks of managing an estate can feel daunting.
Final Matters was founded by Neasa O’Rourke out of a desire to make end‑of‑life planning more compassionate and less overwhelming. When loved ones are grieving, the practical tasks of managing an estate can feel daunting. Neasa saw that consolidating all of one’s important information – from solicitors and bank accounts to social media logins and pet care plans – could lighten that burden significantly. Her solution was a thoughtfully organised workbook that people could complete in their own time, providing clear direction to executors and family members.
Our mission is to encourage open conversations and proactive planning, so that your wishes are known and respected. The Final Matters booklet is not a legally binding document, and we strongly recommend that you have an up‑to‑date Will, an Advanced Healthcare Directive and an Enduring Power of Attorney. By using our workbook alongside these legal documents, you can ensure that your loved ones have everything they need when it matters most.
We believe that this process, though challenging, is an expression of care for those you leave behind. Completing the guide and discussing your plans with family, friends and professionals fosters clarity, confidence and peace of mind. Final Matters is based in Ireland and reflects Irish practices and terminology, but the principles of thoughtful preparation and compassionate guidance apply everywhere.
